1995 Honda Civic oil is leaking within the distributor.?

The engine on this car is carburated and I was told by auto shop that I need to replace the distributor but I was hoping to see if it would be possible to just replace the cap and gasket or how do I know if I need to change the whole distributor?1995 Honda Civic oil is leaking within the distributor.?

Your problem my be deeper than you think. If there are alot of miles on your vehicle you might have excess crankcase pressure. In that case you should see more oil leaks in other areas.1995 Honda Civic oil is leaking within the distributor.?
The distributor has an internal oring, and if that oring has collapsed, the oil will get into the distributor cap, and when enough oil is in the cap, the car will shut down, and the only way to correct the problem is to replace the distributor.but you also have and external oring, that when inop will make oil leak just on the bottom side of distributor shaft, right against the cylinder head. Only replace the distributor if there is oil present in the distributor cap.
